I'm Yao — a full-stack engineer in Vancouver and the author of nextclaw, an open-source long-term memory plugin for the OpenClaw agent framework. For years I've been doing one thing: turning complex AI into something local owners can actually use to save time and make money.
I'm Chinese-Canadian myself, rooted in Vancouver. I've met so many local owners — steady, hard-working, family-first — who want to use AI but don't know where to start. Overseas AI firms don't get a Chinese owner's headaches; firms back home don't get how things work in North America.
That's why I built NextAgent: not to teach you how to use AI, but to actually build, launch, and run AI employees that do the work for you. A local team, face to face, your data staying in your hands.
