Managed IT and security in Vancouver — servers, backups and phones looked after every day
No in-house IT department needed. We run your servers, backups, security checks, phone system and business software, and you know who to call when something goes wrong. A bilingual team based in Richmond, serving Greater Vancouver.
What is managed IT?
Managed IT means handing over everything to do with your computers, servers, network and phones. Backups, updates and security checks happen on schedule, problems have someone to take them, and when you open a new location or hire someone, their equipment and accounts get set up.
We do this today for a medical aesthetics group with three clinics in Richmond, Burnaby and North Vancouver: about 30 servers, backups, security checks, the phone system, and operations for their OSCAR EMR.
We also handle emergencies. When an immigration firm's old website was hacked, we ran the incident response.
Security is never finished. What we can do is check regularly, patch promptly and keep backups you can restore, which keeps risk down; nobody can promise you'll never have an incident.
Calling someone when it breaks vs. having it managed
Many small businesses rely on one tech-savvy employee or an occasional contractor. Nobody watches day to day, so problems surface at the worst moment.
What we manage
Servers and network
Updates, monitoring and troubleshooting for servers, plus setup and upkeep of the office network.
Backups
A backup plan built around your data, with regular test restores to prove the backups actually work.
Security checks
Regular reviews of accounts, permissions, patches and anything exposed to the internet, with findings ranked by severity.
Phone system
Office phones, numbers and extensions, with several locations on one system if you need it.
Business system operations
For systems like OSCAR EMR we handle the servers, backups and updates; the content inside stays with your team.
Incident response
When a website or system is compromised: contain it, find the way in, restore a clean version and close the gap.

Managed IT and security: common questions
What does managed IT include?
Usually server and network upkeep, backups, regular security checks, the phone system, business-software operations and incident response. The exact scope for you goes into a written quote.
Do our servers have to move to your location?
No. They stay in your office or a data centre you choose, and we maintain them remotely and on site. Your data stays on your own equipment.
Can you help if our website or email has been hacked?
Yes. We contain it, find the way in, restore a clean version, change the affected passwords and close the gap. We ran this kind of response for an immigration firm whose old website was hacked.
Once you manage our IT, will we be safe from security problems?
Nobody can promise that. We check regularly, patch promptly and keep restorable backups to keep risk low, and if something does happen, someone deals with it straight away.
Can you maintain our clinic's OSCAR EMR?
Yes. We currently look after the OSCAR EMR servers, backups and updates for a medical aesthetics group with three clinics. Chart content and clinical decisions stay with your own team.
Which areas do you serve?
We are based in Richmond and serve Greater Vancouver. The clinics we manage today are in Richmond, Burnaby and North Vancouver.
How is managed IT priced?
By the number of servers and devices, how many locations you have, and whether phones and business systems are included. You get a written quote first, then a paid 2-week proof of concept that is credited in full if you continue.
